Our Services

Bookkeeping & Accounting

Good planning begins with reliable information. We maintain your books throughout the year so both you and our team have a current view of the financial health of your business.

Services may include:

  • Monthly bookkeeping
  • Bank and credit card reconciliation
  • Monthly financial statements
  • Month-end review
  • Financial performance review
  • KPI reporting
  • Budget vs. actual reporting
  • Cash-flow forecasting

The level of reporting and financial review depends on the service package you select. Why we start here: We don't want to make tax or financial recommendations based on outdated or incomplete information.

Business & Owner Tax Preparation

Tax preparation shouldn't be the first time we're looking closely at your year.  Because we're already working with your accounting throughout the year, tax preparation becomes part of an ongoing financial process rather than a once-a-year event.

Services may include:

  • Business income tax return preparation
  • Business owner individual tax return preparation
  • Year-end tax coordination
  • Estimated tax calculations
  • Tax projections

We primarily prepare individual tax returns for the owners of businesses we serve so we can consider the business and owner together.

Tax Projections

You shouldn't have to wait until your tax return is prepared to find out what you owe. Tax projections allow us to estimate your potential tax liability before year-end and identify whether additional planning should be considered.

Depending on your package, projections may include:

  • Review of year-to-date business performance
  • Estimated taxable income
  • Estimated federal tax liability
  • Estimated tax payments
  • Year-end planning considerations
  • A projection tells us where you may be headed.
  •

Tax planning helps us determine whether there is something worth doing about it.

Tax Planning

Tax planning is more than finding deductions. We evaluate strategies based on your business, income, tax position, goals, and available cash flow to determine whether an opportunity actually makes financial sense.

Planning may include evaluating areas such as:

  • Business entity structure

  • Owner compensation

  • Retirement and pension strategies

  • Timing of income and expenses

  • Business deductions

  • Capital purchases

  • Tax-efficient benefit strategies

  • Long-term business and exit considerations

Not every available tax strategy is a good strategy for every business. Our job is to help you understand the options, the potential benefit, the cost, and the tradeoffs before you decide.

Guided Strategy Implementation

Knowing what to do is different from getting it done. When a strategy requires additional expertise, we can help coordinate implementation with your existing professionals or specialists within our professional network.

Depending on the strategy, that may include collaboration with professionals such as attorneys, retirement plan specialists, actuaries, financial advisors, insurance professionals, or other specialists.

We help keep the strategy moving while making sure you understand what is happening and why.

Advice without implementation can remain just an idea. We help bridge the gap between the recommendation and the next step.

CFO Advisory Services

Sometimes the question isn't about accounting or taxes. It's:

  • Can we afford this?
  • Should I hire someone?
  • Why is revenue growing but cash isn't?
  • How much should I be taking from the business?
  • What happens if we make this investment?

Our CFO advisory services help owners use their financial information to make better-informed business decisions.

Depending on your package, services may include:

  • Financial performance review
  • KPI monitoring
  • Budget vs. actual analysis
  • Cash-flow forecasting
  • Financial decision support
  • Monthly/Quarterly Meetings

This is where accounting moves beyond reporting and becomes a tool for running the business.

Before We Work

Together

A few things to know about how we work and what you can expect from us.

Quickbooks Online

We work exclusively with businesses using QuickBooks Online. If your books need cleanup or conversion before ongoing services begin, we'll determine the scope and provide separate pricing before work begins.

Expenses

Business accounts and credit cards should be used for business activity. Keeping personal and business transactions separate creates cleaner accounting, better financial reporting, and a stronger foundation for tax preparation and planning.

Tax Preparation

Our tax preparation services are designed primarily for the businesses we serve throughout the year. Individual tax preparation is generally provided for the owners of those businesses rather than as a standalone 1040 service.

Tax Planning

Tax planning requires accurate, current financial information. For that reason, planning is generally provided as part of an ongoing relationship rather than as an isolated year-end exercise.

Collaboration

Some strategies require professionals outside the scope of an accounting and tax practice. When appropriate, we'll collaborate with your existing advisors or help identify the additional expertise needed.

Working Together

The best planning happens when we stay connected. We ask our clients to provide information in a timely manner, respond to questions, and keep us informed when something meaningful changes in the business.
